> Summary:

The Technical Application Specialist is a pivotal role within Christie Innomed, providing comprehensive technical support for the Fujifilm Synapse Pathology solution. This position requires collaboration with internal teams, including senior account executives, local project management, and support teams, as well as Fujifilm’s product and technical teams. The specialist may also engage with other Christie Innomed solutions as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Key Accountabilities

> Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide expert-level technical support for the Fujifilm Synapse Pathology solution to customers and internal teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations.
  • Collaborate with Fujifilm’s technical team to address escalated issues and ensure timely resolution.

> Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the senior account executive to support sales efforts and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with local project management and support teams to coordinate project activities and ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
  • Maintain regular communication with Fujifilm’s product and technical teams to stay updated on product developments and enhancements.

>Implementation and Training:

  • Assist in the installation and configuration of the Fujifilm Synapse Pathology solution at customer sites.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users, ensuring they are proficient in using the system and maximizing its capabilities.
  • Develop and update training materials and documentation as needed.

>Project Management Support:

  • Support local project management teams in planning and executing projects related to the Fujifilm Synapse Pathology solution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions to keep projects on track.

>Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor for their technical needs.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and address any ongoing concerns.

>Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of other Christie Innomed solutions as required.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for product improvements based on customer interactions and technical experiences.

 

Job requirements

>Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

 

>Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in the medical imaging or healthcare IT industry.
  • Experience with pathology or medical imaging solutions is highly desirable.

>Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues.
  • Knowledge of network configurations, database management, and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with DICOM, HL7, and other healthcare standards and protocols.

>Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

>Travel:

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites across Canada as needed.
