Christie Innomed Inc. announced today that it has purchased the Canadian unit of Aramark Healthcare Technologies (HCT). The acquisition will ensure continuity for existing Aramark HCT customers while further strengthening Christie Innomed’s multi-vendor service infrastructure, accelerating the availability of broader, more reliable and flexible service solutions to both public and private healthcare providers in Canada.
Aramark had previously announced the sale of its U.S. HCT business to Indianapolis-based TRIMEDX, a clinical asset management and clinical engineering service company. As one of Canada’s leading independent healthcare technology providers, Christie Innomed was a natural choice to ensure continued support to existing Canadian Aramark HCT customers. These customers will benefit from Christie Innomed’s stronger capabilities particularly in imaging, expert support and service, as well as great customer care.
Christie Innomed already acquired a medical imaging Multi-Vendor service organizatiion in late 2017 and with this addition, they are executing on their strategic vision to offer unique and cost-effective solutions supporting the healthcare community. With a range of high-profile clients, the acquisition of Aramark HCT bolsters Christie Innomed’s vision to diversify its portfolio with the inclusion of biomedical equipment services, while continuing to offer best-in-class services to imaging facilities.
“We are excited to welcome the team from Aramark HCT—the additional capabilities reinforce and extend the services offered by Christie Innomed and enhance our complete solutions approach to medical equipment servicing,” states Martin Roy, President and CEO of Christie Innomed. “As part of our Company’s expansion, we continue to develop broad solution offerings, optimize parts supply-chain, and have increased our Multi-Vendor skilled field expertise.
